Jesse Barnes, The Light Painter, is retiring after 25 years of limited edition print production. For his final release we are treated to several Firsts: This is his first 2 print
set. This is his first interior scene. This is the first print with 2 owls. “Merry Christmas to All” depicts a living room just before midnight, in anticipation of Christmas morning. The Christmas tree is laden with gifts. The stockings are hung on
the hearth. The living room is dimly, though warmly lit by the fireplace, the moonlight and the lighted outdoor Christmas tree shining in through the large picture window. The family dog sleeps in front of the fireplace while the cat is curious about the rabbits outside on the snow covered lawn. Above the fireplace is Jesse’s first print - “Night Before Christmas”. This print
is 12” x 18.” “To All a Good Night” is the outside view of the same home. Moonlight illuminates two owls watching the scene as a car drives by. A shooting star streaks through the sky. Warm lights glow through windows of the house and others nearby. The lighted Christmas Tree shows two rabbits checking out the snowmen, built earlier in the day by the children, now asleep and waiting for that magical visit by the jolly old elf. This print is 16” x 24”.
The 2 print set is $325.00
Jesse Barnes' daughter, Julie McClure comments: Twenty-five years ago we
began a journey through the imagination of Jesse Barnes. We began with a
snowy country home on the "Night Before Christmas." Throughout our
journey we have experienced the warmth of family and the awesome power of Mother
Nature. Jesse has never failed to captivate us with his incredible use of
lighting effects and attention to detail. Now Jesse has concluded a long
wonderful career by taking us back to the night it all started, the "Night
Before Christmas." Come back with him now as he bids you "Merry Christmas
to All", and "To All a Good Night".
